This includes proper height (36 inches minimum for residential, 42 inches for some applications), picket spacing that prevents a 4-inch sphere from passing through, load requirements (50 pounds per linear foot), and proper structural connection to the building or deck. For commercial projects, we provide engineered drawings and calculations. For ADA-compliant projects, we ensure handrail extensions, graspability, and height requirements are met.

Absolutely. This is one of our most common requests. If we built your fence, we have the exact specifications and can match it perfectly. If another contractor built your fence, we can match the style, material, finish, and color. We'll bring material samples and color charts to ensure a perfect match.

Minimal. Aluminum railings require only occasional rinsing—no rust, no repainting, ever. Powder-coated steel railings need an annual rinse and visual inspection every few years for any chips (rare). Stainless steel railings can be wiped down with stainless cleaner occasionally. Compare this to wood railings that need annual staining or sealing and eventual board replacement due to rot.
